  • *NEW* Regulatory Update JOBS Act- On April 5, 2012, President Obama signed the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act into law. The new law is intended to help startups and smaller companies go public, expand their businesses and hire more workers. This Regulatory Update provides an overview of the Act's major provisions.
  • *NEW*DOT Announces Final Rule for Certified Medical Examiners - On April 18, 2012, the DOT issued regulations mandating certification for health care professionals who perform medical examinations for interstate truck and bus drivers. The regulations are effective May 21, 2014.
  • Regulatory Update: OSHA Revises HazCom Standard to Align GHS: March 20, 2012, OSHA released a final rule conforming its Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). This Legislative Brief describes the final rule and its compliance deadlines, which begin on Dec. 1, 2013
